This cottage is in an amazing location and ideal for enjoying walks around the forest. The drive up to the cottage was a bit harder than expected - taking us about 25 minutes in no more than 2nd gear! (in a Honda Jazz). The cottage was warm, Wifi worked, cooking facilities ok, good shower, and bed comfortable. The downsides were:
1. It could have been cleaner - used towel on back of bedroom door, undies left in bedside drawer and small stain on sheet. Cobwebs round windows. Bath mat looked dirty.
2. Left front ring on gas hob will not stay lit
3. DVD player not working
4. Fridge/freezer was not switched on prior to our arrival. Frozen food was starting to thaw before it reached right temp.
5. Chairs and settee are not comfortable.
But we enjoyed our stay in the middle of a nature reserve and would recommend this cottage to those who can cope with getting there and the relative isolation.. We would recommend that others take midge repellent too!



PLEASE, buy a new sofa!

This was our third return to this beautiful location. Peaceful, tranquil with lots of wildlife. Our only negative, is the terrible, two
seated green sofa that was not fit for purpose when we first visited, 3 years ago. We were both so dismayed to see it still there in place, knowing how uncomfortable it is. When you go away on holiday, you want to be able to relax, seated comfortably. When you sit on this sofa, you are literally 3 inches off the floor, the is no suspension in it at all. The two, hard wooden arm chairs are equally uncomfortable. PLEASE, invest in new, seating furniture, for what is charged per week, you can afford to provide a comfortable, decent seating area.



Amazing location in woodland nature reserve. Fantastic birdwatching base.

Great little barn in very secluded location surrounded by nature. The barn is a great escape for a couple. It is in a Welsh rainforest nature reserve.
Lots of birds on the doorstep and we saw a fox hunting in the meadow outside. And an osprey passed overhead too.
The track to the barn was fine for a standard two wheel drive car/van if you take it slow. It's not that rough.
Amazing place.

The location was fantastic and nice and peaceful.
Loads of walks straight from your doorstep, only met a few people whilst out walking.

Would definitely go back.

Perfect place, just what i thought it would be. In my view the only problem was presentation! It could do with a coat of satin brilliant white in the lounge dining area, and the windows and sills with a coat of bright varnish to brighten the room up! Oh and a new couch. Other than that my stay was perfect. Thank you, regards
